Job Description
United Living Energy is a leading UK gas and energy engineering specialist offering design, build and maintenance on critical national infrastructure for the UK gas asset owners. As the energy market evolves, we are applying our skills to the growing hydrogen storage and carbon capture markets.
Purpose

Specific Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator within our Energy business, you will be a commercially astute individual with previous experience in a similar role.
You will be responsible for:
Assisting with the production, strategy and interfacing between various departmental functions to ensure that tender returns are accurately priced, commercially and technically detailed
Ensuring strict timescales are maintained throughout the tendering process
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professionals together with fostering the development of future tender success and new Client opportunities
Supporting the transition between the tender phase to project handover and deliver
Experience within Mechanical or Civil / Steel pipelines is a must for this role.
The role of Senior Estimator is a critical hire for our infrastructure business and will play a key role in enabling us to achieve our ambitious growth plans. Qualifications
Criteria - The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimating, ideally in the oil and gas sector. We will consider candidates with transferrable skills from other sectors.
Knowledge of cross-country infrastructure projects.
A degree Qualification or equivalent
Good knowledge of the NEC form of contract
The ability to prepare bills of quantities from mechanical and civil design drawings and specifications.
Excellent numerical and computing skills; ideally with previous experience of estimating software.
Good communication and presentation skills
Interest in their own professional development and that of the team around them
A valid UK driving Licence.
