About Us:
Join the thriving and dynamic United Living Infrastructure Services team in Washington! As a rapidly growing business, we are excited to welcome a new CDM Co-Ordinator to contribute to our success. If you're looking for a long-term career opportunity with a Main Contractor, where you can develop your skills and be part of an industry-leading organisation, this role is for you.
To support our imminent appointment as Principal Designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) for an ongoing 9-year design and build water network infrastructure framework contract, we are seeking to recruit a CDM Design Coordinator.
The role will include:
- Ensuring compliance with the responsibilities of the Principal Designer under CDM
- Managing the effective coordination of all parties under CDM including clients, designers and contractors
- Informing and assisting clients in discharging their duties at each stage of the process
- Establishing and maintaining a record of principles and decisions taken in relation to health and safety in feasibility studies, including design risk assessment
- Carrying out design reviews with team members and co-ordinating health and safety matters
- Ensuring that designers have established safe methods for construction of unusual or complex water network designs and making this available as part of the pre-construction information
- Ensuring detailed records of design meetings and decisions are maintained
- Managing effective control of documents and records
- Preparing and submitting project specific Health and Safety Files on completion
- Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
Qualifications
The nature of this role will require candidates with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. A background in Health and Safety and knowledge of CDM Regs are essential.
