Job Description

As a Lead Surveyor, you'll play a crucial role in identifying and addressing damp and mould concerns in resident's homes and communal areas. Reporting to the Head of Disrepairs, you'll diagnose root causes and develop corrective specifications of work. Your excellent communication skills will be key in building trust and rapport with stakeholders.

  1. To undertake surveys in customer’s homes, where damp or mould has been reported
  2. To diagnose root causes of potential damp/mould/condensation and the required rectification works
  3. Using our internal software, complete a Building Survey for each property attended and create a coded corrective specification of work.
  4. To provide an excellent customer service to our customers and work with them to get the best out of their homes and prevent the re-occurrence of damp and mould
  5. Collaborating with operational colleagues to provide technical support.
  6. Keeping residents informed throughout the intervention process.
  7. Performing quality inspections of completed works.
  8. Maintaining compliance with organisational standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Proficiency in building surveying techniques.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility and excellent time management skills
  • RICS or CIOB certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Technical expert in ventilation - willing to increase knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience of Disrepairs Workstream
  • Strong experience of working within a fast moving environment delivering a high quality and robust delivery service
  • Able to demonstrate generation of KPI’s
  • Experience of CDM Regulations
  • Development/Upskilling
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within financial regulations; data protection; freedom of information and waste management
  • Proficient in the use of Total Mobile and Microsoft office applications (outlook; excel and word)
  • Able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of equality issues

Additional Information

You will be required to travel to various UK locations, and there is a requirement to be in our office at Thame a minimum of once per month or when required.
