Connected - We connect people through fixed-line and wireless telecom infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and access to information for all. At United Living, we have one of the largest specialist in-house teams for project management, acquisition, design, construction, and maintenance in the UK.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of operatives and subcontractors, guaranteeing they adhere to company policies, procedures, and best practices for retrofitting existing buildings.
- Create a safe working environment by implementing work safety plans, method statements, risk assessments, and ensuring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting all quality standards. Monitor progress, proactively identify and address issues, and implement measures to avoid defects.
- Understand the unique challenges and considerations involved in retrofitting buildings, including energy efficiency measures, building envelope improvements, and integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, internal departments, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Clearly communicate project progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports as required.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, materials, and techniques to enhance project outcomes.
- Be passionate about contributing to a more sustainable future through energy-efficient retrofits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in retrofitting technologies.
