As a SHEQ Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. This position requires a meticulous professional with a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, providing thorough reports and recommendations for prevention.
Health Management:
- Coordinate health programs and initiatives to promote employee well-being.
- Monitor and assess workplace health risks, implementing measures to mitigate potential issues.
- Liaise with healthcare providers and facilitate employee health screenings.
Environmental Oversight:
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Advise on sustainable practices to minimize the organization's environmental footprint.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain quality management systems.
- Conduct regular quality audits to assess adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of safety, health, environment, and quality activities.
- Prepare reports for management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations.
Training and Education:
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and communicate updates to the organization.
- Support in the development of a safety culture through training and awareness initiatives.
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a SHEQ role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and implement effective solutions.
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
