Job Description
Join the thriving and dynamic United Living Infrastructure Services team in Golborne! As a rapidly growing business, we are excited to welcome a new Estimator to contribute to our success. If you're looking for a long-term career opportunity with a Main Contractor, where you can develop your skills and be part of an industry-leading organisation, this role is for you.
We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Estimator to join our Energy business and provide support to the work winning team in the pursuit of new business opportunities. If you are an Estimator with a background in utilities and infrastructure, this is the role for you.
As Estimator within our Energy business, you will be a commercially astute individual with previous experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the production, strategy and interfacing between various departmental functions to ensure that tender returns are accurately priced, commercially and technically detailed
- Ensuring strict timescales are maintained throughout the tendering process
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professionals together with fostering the development of future tender success and new Client opportunities
- Supporting the transition between the tender phase to project handover and delivery
Qualifications
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a growing business where hard work, a team ethic and contribution to common goals will create ample opportunity for you to further develop your career. We are looking for somebody with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in tendering or quantity surveying, with a civils or utilities background
- Knowledge of NEC suite of contracts, ability to ‘take off’ from design drawings, interpret specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities
- Involvement in the tendering process and the preparation and presentation of detailed tender cost build ups
- Background in the gas sector or CNI / ISS experience would be vastly advantageous
