Under close supervision of your line manager:
Ensure that United Living HSE&Q standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times.
Bring any health and safety concerns you may have to the immediate attention of your line manager or other appropriate authority within the business.
Ensure that the United Living way of working is complied with and adopted into your daily disciplines.
Assist with the preparation, production, distribution and analysis of subcontractor/supplier/consultant enquiries and returns, ensuring all appropriate information is included and reviewed.
Ensure that tender enquiries are sent to supply chain in a timely manner.
Undertake and assist with the comparisons of supply chain quotations.
Collaboration within the wider business, communicating regularly with operations and commercial teams.
Prepare accurate take-offs from bid drawings at a level commensurate with your knowledge, development and experience.
Assist with compiling and presenting statistical data for pricing/bid analysis.
Assist with site measurements for different trade packages.
Assist the Estimator in the construction of accurate, competitive and timely bid submissions.
Develop understanding and application of the use of company systems including Conquest Estimating/take-off software packages.
File and distribute documents and drawings.
Assist with the preparation of Tender Summary document.
Learn and understand the tender process from initial enquiry to handover.
Assist with admin functions of the Estimating department.
Develop understanding of construction methods and materials and their application.
Generally support the team as required and appropriate to your role and experience.
3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 (grade C or above) including Maths, English and ideally a Science
Foundation skills in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and keen to extend knowledge on software packages.
Ability to work on own initiative and well as part of a team.
Previous experience within the construction industry would be desirable, but not essential. Able to produce work accurately and to tight deadlines.
