As a SHEQ Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. This position requires a meticulous professional with a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance:
Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific safety regulations.
Investigate incidents and accidents, providing thorough reports and recommendations for prevention.
Health Management:
Coordinate health programs and initiatives to promote employee well-being.
Monitor and assess workplace health risks, implementing measures to mitigate potential issues.
Liaise with healthcare providers and facilitate employee health screenings.
Environmental Oversight:
Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Advise on sustainable practices to minimize the organization's environmental footprint.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain quality management systems.
Conduct regular quality audits to assess adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of safety, health, environment, and quality activities.
Prepare reports for management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Ensure documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations.
Training and Education:
Keep abreast of industry best practices and communicate updates to the organization.
Support in the development of a safety culture through training and awareness initiatives.
Qualifications
Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) are highly desirable.
Proven experience in a SHEQ role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and implement effective solutions.
Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
