The role
As a Project Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Project Manager will join our team and to take accountability for critical business requirements from day one, in the delivery of several projects within the Ships and Air environment.
Day to day, you’ll lead an integrated project delivery team (including Engineering, Commercial, Procurement & Quality) that work together to define, plan, monitor and control the successful delivery of the project/contracts, as well as:
- Be responsible for motivation, team collaboration, conflict management and appraisals and provide a point of escalation for project team members.
- Competent in managing key aspects of a project i.e., safety, scope, cost, schedule, finance, risk, quality, and resources to achieve the project’s agreed objectives.
- Be accountable for planning and monitoring the project; and submission of regular monthly performance reports; indicating any deviations, corrective action taken and escalation of issues.
This role is a hybrid role with 1 day per week onsite at Bristol or 1-2 days per month at Whetstone.
Essential experience of the Project Manager:
- Stakeholder management of customer and Senior representatives.
- Knowledge of project controls tools and how these tools operate to provide key information for decision making.
- Commercially and financially astute, with a challenging mind-set
- Excellent interpersonal skills – communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and with external bodies.
- Experience of the full project lifecycle. From bidding to contract award and delivery to project completion and close out would be advantageous
Qualifications for the Project Manager:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
