The role
As a Aviation Mechanical / Electrical Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Babcock International maintains the airfield support contract for the aviation requirements at RAF Northolt. The timely servicing and rectification of any occurring faults are an important part of the role, working in a team whose job it is to keep both military and civilian assets supplied with the right ground support equipment at the right time. The right candidate for this position will enable the smooth functioning of RAF Northolt, in accordance with RAF and Company safety standards, practices and procedures.
Day to day, you’ll Look after the ground support equipment, as well as:
• Anything needed to support the aircraft
• The Servicing of equipment and full maintenance
• Refuelling and fixing anything to do with the aircraft
• Full management of serviceable equipment and lighting
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Northolt.
Experience of the Aviation Mechanical / Electrical Technician:
• Someone who is performance driven
• A passion for creating a great people experience and enabling a diverse and high performing culture
• Full Manual UK driving licence
• Normal colour perception graded as CP2 (needed to work on an airfield) - Can be ontained at an opticians
Qualifications for the Aviation Mechanical / Electrical Technician:
• Trained Electro/Mechanic Technician to at least City and Guild 381/382/383 qualifications in Heavy vehicle/plant equipment or equivalent qualifications or timed served
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
