The role
As a Facilities Management Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Supporting the site supervisory team as part of the multi-skilled team delivering a wide range of hard and soft Facilities Management support to Babcock properties.
Day to day, you’ll perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required, as well as:
Use appropriate tools and equipment in a safe manner in order not to harm user or others.
Report issues in an agreed prompt manner to the site supervisory team.
The limited use of a computer for emails and to upload work, (training will be given)
Carry out inspections on equipment to ensure it is serviceable and compliant.
Help to maintain the buildings to current legislation and ensure a safe working environment.
Essential experience of the Facility Management Assistant
Basic DIY skills and in-depth understanding of maintenance procedures
Problem-solving skills for addressing safety and maintenance concerns
Strong verbal and written communication skills for giving instructions to contractors
Organisation, multi-tasking, and scheduling skills
Full UK driving licence
Qualifications for the Facilities Management Assistant
