The role
As a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll ensure that the safety and standards of the HPC project are consistently met, working on the largest nuclear project in Europe!
Day to day, you’ll conduct audits of the MEH site activities and sub-contractor operations.
- Record the findings of audit reports and inspections in line with the HSSE management system requirements and the assurance schedule.
- Intervene when unsafe practices are observed, offer solutions to observations made.
- Observe and record ‘At Risk’ & ‘Reduce Risk’ behaviours.
- Upload all findings into the site reporting tool.
This is a full-time role based in Bridgwater, Somerset. The successful candidate will work a condensed 37 hour week over 4 days including some weekends and overtime.
Essential experience of the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor:
- Strong construction background.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to explain HSE procedures and expectations to a range of people.
- Working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations.
- IT literate – familiar with Microsoft packages.
Qualifications for the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor:
- NEBOSH general certificate/NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
