The role
As a Through Life Support Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We’re looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader to make a real impact on our Skynet Programme which is managed within the supportability discipline in Mission Systems, during a busy period of transition.
Day to day, you’ll Primarily be working on the Skynet Programme. Your role will offer a high level of autonomy to design and deliver effective support solutions and implement continuous improvements.
Work with key stakeholders in business development, engineering, customers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to ensure overall future innovation and product implementation is harmonised.
- Manage the team undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance on the satellite ground stations and all satellite terminals and ground infrastructure such that agreed levels of terminal availability are maintained.
- Provision of 24/7/365 telephone and worldwide field support to all ensure that system availability meets requirements.
- Maintain a highly effective customer service culture for the technical maintenance and support team.
- Preparation and effective control of the TLS (Through Life Support) budget.
- Manage quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the M and S (Maintenance and Support) on a per service basis.
This role is full time, 37 hours based on site at Hawthorn with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Through Life Support Manager:
- Leadership and management experience of multi-disciplined teams.
- Demonstrable experience of maintenance and repair of complex systems and/or Engineering Degree.
- Change management and continuous improvement.
