The role
As a Repair Supply Chain Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play an integral part in co-ordinating the maintenance of equipment across the UK which is keeping the country safe and secure.
Day to day, you’ll co-ordinate the identification, receipt, storage, and distribution of repairable assets from European and UK facilities. This supply chain loop will see the end user receive known usable assets in return of unserviceable assemblies.
- Load and track assets onto an SAP system
- Oversee warehouse activities to ensure assets are packed and loaded in a safe manner for onwards travel
- Co-ordinate the cleaning of contaminated assets through external providers
- Engage with external providers to maintain visibility of assets
- Manage the identification via an subject matter expert (SME) of returned assets to ensure that unserviceable assets are forwarded to the correct destination for repair
This role is a fixed term contract for 32 weeks and can be based at either Donnington or Andover on site with travel required to supplier sites.
Essential experience of the Repair Supply Chain Manager:
- Full UK Driving licence is essential due to travel to supplier sites
- Supply Chain Management experience, preferably on a European level
- Proven experience of operational delivery in a complex, time critical environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and operational functions in the organisation.
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demand
- A basic understanding of heavy vehicle construction and assemblies is desirable but not essential
Qualifications for the Repair Supply Chain Manager:
- Level 3 qualification relevant to Supply Chain or equivalent.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
