The role
As a Senior/Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. At Devonport Dockyard, Babcock supports the Royal Navy submarine fleet, with a number of operational nuclear and radiological facilities for the upkeep and maintenance of submarines.
For the foreseeable future, Babcock are significantly upgrading the Devonport site and as such you will have the opportunity to support the design and build of new, submarine maintenance facilities.
Day to day, you’ll support the business by providing your expert knowledge around safety engineering to ensure the upkeep of our nuclear submarine facilities.
This role is full time at 36 hours a week with a hybrid working structure and will be based at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met.
