The role
As an Occupational Hygiene Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will develop and evolve our strategy for the management of our occupational health risks.
Day to day, you’ll produce a proactive monitoring plan to ensure our controls are effective in keeping our people safe. You’ll use the data obtained from monitoring and health surveillance to build a heatmap of areas for focus or improvement.
- Refining of the organisation’s occupational hygiene strategy and delivering the workstreams required to meet the strategic outcomes.
- Overseeing and executing the occupational hygiene/workplace health risk management program.
- Collating data, conducting statistical analysis, peer reviewing and preparing reports, and regularly updating occupational hygiene performance reports the business.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including employers and employees, in workplace health risk management.
- Creating firm links between occupational hygiene and occupational health to promote health and wellbeing across the workforce.
This role is full time - 36 hours and will be based at on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Occupational Hygiene Lead:
- Experience in the production of strategic objectives and overarching strategies.
- Extensive experience in the occupational hygiene field, covering a wide range of topics at a senior level.
Qualifications for the Occupational Hygiene Lead:
- Minimum Licentiate of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (LFOH), holding the BOHS Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH).
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree.
- Relevant certifications from the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
