The role
As an Occupational Hygiene Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will develop and evolve our strategy for the management of our occupational health risks.
Day to day, you’ll produce a proactive monitoring plan to ensure our controls are effective in keeping our people safe. You’ll use the data obtained from monitoring and health surveillance to build a heatmap of areas for focus or improvement.
Refining of the organisation’s occupational hygiene strategy and delivering the workstreams required to meet the strategic outcomes.
Overseeing and executing the occupational hygiene/workplace health risk management program.
Collating data, conducting statistical analysis, peer reviewing and preparing reports, and regularly updating occupational hygiene performance reports the business.
Collaborating with stakeholders, including employers and employees, in workplace health risk management.
Creating firm links between occupational hygiene and occupational health to promote health and wellbeing across the workforce.
This role is full time - 36 hours and will be based at on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Occupational Hygiene Lead:
Experience in the production of strategic objectives and overarching strategies.
Extensive experience in the occupational hygiene field, covering a wide range of topics at a senior level.
Qualifications for the Occupational Hygiene Lead:
Minimum Licentiate of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (LFOH), holding the BOHS Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH).
Diploma/Bachelor's degree.
Relevant certifications from the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
