The role
As a Health and Safety Administrator you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll become a vital part of the Health Safety Environment and Security (HSES) Department and ensure a safe environment for everyone at HMNB Clyde. This is no ordinary admin role; it's a chance to make a real difference in safety and security at HMNB Clyde.
Your day-to-day will be filled with impactful tasks:
You'll be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring their induction to HMNB Clyde is smooth, efficient, and meets all safety regulations.
HSEQS Documentation Management: Keeping vital Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQS) documents organised and up-to-date
General administration, handling reports, minutes, filing, visitor notifications, and supply orders, including those for contractors.
Maintaining the vetting register, ensuring Faslane and Coulport staff are notified of upcoming renewals
You'll play a proactive role in promoting safety awareness by producing and publishing HSE measures and reports.
Handle any additional administrative tasks as needed, demonstrating your willingness to go the extra mile.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and will be based on site at HMNB Clyde, Faslane near Helensburgh.
Essential experience of the Health and Safety Administrator:
Excellent administrative skills
Ability to keep things running smoothly and efficiently
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook
A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all you do
Highly organised and proactive
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications for the Health and Safety Administrator:
Possess a minimum of National 5 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
