The role
As an IFS Functional Support Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. With your skillsets and expertise, you’ll be playing a key role in identifying areas for process and system improvements, including quantifying potential business.
Day to day, you’ll take responsibility for business analysis services across Babcock’s IFS estate, defining and understanding the clients’ business process, functions, and data. You’ll be working closely with our product owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts by recommending appropriate options and defining priority. Further responsibilities include:
- The identification of system available options for customer consideration, assessing feasibility, and recommending best fit approach
- Contributing to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in the solution delivery
- Investigating operational requirements and problems, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non- automated components
- Working with business representatives in defining acceptance tests
- Specifying test scenarios so that new/updated processes are delivered in accordance with customer requirements
This role is 37.5 hours per week.
Essential experience of the IFS Functional Support Analyst:
- IFS Functional experience is required (Finance, HR, P&SC, Maintenance etc)
- Possess broad understanding of business and business activities with deep knowledge in at least one area of specialisation
- Demonstrate a systematic, disciplined analytical approach to problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- It would be advantageous to have experience in SQL and/or Crystal Reports
