The role
As a Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Designer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, electrical and electronic engineering knowledge, and experience. This role is directly accountable for designs, developments and determines solutions to problems and issues within a specialist subject area.
Day to day, you’ll work on a range of engineering problems involving high levels of complexity & uncertainty. Providing help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working, and their development.
This role is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week onsite at Bristol.
Essential experience of the Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Designer:
- Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types.
- Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
- Good communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
- Experience with ATEX and equipment used in Hazardous Areas (desirable)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical for generating and checking electrical circuit diagrams (desirable)
Qualifications for the Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Designer:
- Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
