The role
As an Avionics Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will tackle a variety of tasks, from maintenance to inspections, ensuring aircraft and equipment are in top condition for training activities. Your role is pivotal in maintaining quality and efficiency while adhering to company guidelines
Day to day, you’ll conduct and complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, modifications, servicing and inspection tasks on the aircraft and engine systems.
Maintain and repair GTA, ASE, and associated equipment.
Conduct Avionics repairs and diagnostics on Gazelle, Lynx MK7 & 8, and related training aids.
Utilize skills to modify GTA and assist with ASE repair and maintenance.
Complete aircraft documentation in accordance with engineering procedures and standards.
Ensure maximum aircraft availability for training by working efficiently and adhering to Air Publications and MOD policies.
This role is 37 hours a week full time role and will be based at MOD Lyneham
Essential experience of the Avionics Technician:
Proven practical experience in the maintenance of aircraft and specifically the Avionics discipline.
Experienced and qualified in Aircraft Support Equipment (ASE) Maintenance
Qualifications for the Avionics Technician:
Recognised Level 3 qualification in Aeronautical Engineering in an Avionics discipline
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
