The role
As a Paint Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be part of a team which prepare and paint automotive components and complete vehicles.
Day-to-day, you’ll cover the prepping of vehicle body parts which includes removing dents, repairing scratches, polishing, and refinishing. It will also include paint repair work to include touch ups and blow ins with a big part of the role respraying vehicle parts.
- Prepare components for final paint finish
- Full vehicle re-sprays
- Fault finding and rectification of paint defects
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is full time, 40-hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.
Essential experience of the Paint Technician
- Proven paint refinishing experience in the automotive refinishing industry
- Ability to follow paint processes
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under own initiative, or as part of a team to achieve desired results
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment
