The role
As a Mechanical Assembly & Test Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll manage the Mechanical Assembly and Test Facility on site and promote continuous improvement of the facility to deliver excellence.
Day-to-day, you’ll have overall responsibility for the safety of all operations within the MDAT facility, specifically to ensure that all works are carried out safely and to the required quality.
- Ensure staff are suitable qualified and have the correct training and tools to complete the tasks at hand.
- Provide quotations and estimates for work orders and the team is working to the required time, cost and quality.
- Ensure the facility complies with the Cavendish Nuclear health and safety management system.
- Where contractors are used for operational work, ensure that adequate controls are in place to supervise and control the works.
- Promote a culture that embodies and implements the Babcock principles and ensure that the staffing levels meet the work demands.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site in Leicester.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Assembly & Test Manager
- Previous experience working within an engineering management position
Qualifications for the Mechanical Assembly & Test Manager
- Minimum HND in an engineering discipline
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC)
