Job Descrption

Salary & Benefits: Salary from £50k per annum dependent on experience, a company car lease/allowance scheme, annual incentive related bonus (up to 10% of annual salary), private health care, attractive pension scheme (Up to 10% company contribution), life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a wellness day. Location: Bradford/ Hybrid Working (a mix of office and home working)
 

Work type:  Permanent, full time working 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm 
 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Product Manager to join the Customer Experience team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in - 
 
We are now looking for a Digital Product Manager to join us on this journey, the purpose of your role will be to: 
  
For your assigned digital product area: Own, develop and deliver a digital product vision and roadmap that achieves valuable outcomes linked to company goals and overarching digital Customer Experience (CX) vision.  This includes working cross-functionally with your squad and business stakeholders to create and execute a digital product strategy that improves customer satisfaction and reduces the need to contact.  You’ll understand the value the squad are generating and be focussed on hitting goals making sure the team are highly engaged.  Working closely with business stakeholders, you’ll be expected to use data and customer insight to inform your plans taking a build, measure, learn approach to digital product development. 

 

You will - 
 

•    Work cross-functionally to create the digital product strategy for your area targeting ambitious outcomes related to increasing digital self-service channel share and customer satisfaction. 
•    Lead an agile squad working closely with design and development colleagues to deliver outcomes in a way that is highly collaborative. 
•    Inspire the squad making sure all team members are invested in the product vision and working as a cohesive team. 
•    Take a customer and data-centric approach to decision making communicating clearly with your stakeholders to take them on the journey as your product develops. 
•    Work across business units to ensure the scope of transformation programmes deliver the technical capabilities required for the future success of your digital product. 
•    Work with business owners, designers, architects and developers to solve valuable problems and apply critical thinking to make sure the right activities are in focus. 
•    Set quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs) that are aligned to overarching digital goals and put in place the right strategy to achieve these outcomes. 
•    Show leadership by always being transparent about product performance placing a value on continuous learning taking a build, measure, learn approach and identifying opportunities for innovation through existing or future digital capabilities. 
•    Be the expert in your digital product paying close attention to performance metrics and quality scores. 
•    Develop and manage roadmaps & product backlogs. 
•    Manage iteration goals and story prioritisations. 
•    Clearly communicate products/features/iterations and stories to internal and external stakeholders.  
•    Maintain a clear view of external trends, opportunities, and technologies within the domain across the utility sector and beyond. 
•    Identify and manage risks and issues. 
•    Influence strategic technology decisions through feedback and collaborative working with all relevant Tech stakeholders. 

 

What skills & qualifications you will need:
 

•    Digital product management experience having managed customer-facing digital service products through various stages of the product lifecycle – web and app experience is essential 
•    Ability to understand and analyse digital performance and analytics data. 
•    Strong understanding of best-in-class digital design principles. 
•    Proven track record, preferably in the utilities sector for undertaking a Digital Product Management role where you have led a large digital development team 
•    Experience of product management in an agile environment. 
•    Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships at senior levels within an organisation.  
•    Ability to demonstrate relentless drive, energy and determination to deliver sustainable performance against digital goals. 
•    Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a dynamic, changing environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations. 
•    Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. 
•    Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to all levels, both technical and non-technical audiences.  
•    Ability to develop and work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
•    Ability to pick up and own issues or projects on behalf of the management team. 
•    Strong organisation and personal management skills. 
•    Creativity and lateral thinking. 
•    Highly motivated and self-reliant with a personal drive for continuous development and demonstrates a strong customer service ethos. 
•    Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
•    Ability to understand enterprise solutions. 
•    It would be advantageous if you have Product Management training / certification, eg - Certified Product Owner and had previous experience in Agile methodologies
