Alarm Monitoring Centre (AMC) Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for an Alarm Monitoring Centre Team Leader to join the Security team at Yorkshire Water. You'd be managing a well established team of 6 with an existing good culture that works cohesively to consistently deliver high level of work output.

The role of the AMC Team Leader will be to work with the Physical & Electronic security team who all report into the Protective Security Manager
Where you fit in:
As our Alarm Monitoring Centre (AMC) Team Leader you will be key to support the delivery of an efficient Alarm Monitoring Centre function whilst also line managing the day to day operations.
The primary role is to provide a professional and effective service to the business, to ensure the security of our assets is maintained 24/7.
You will –
- Line management responsibility for the 6 AMC Technicians
- Act as the lead link between the Alarm Monitoring Centre, Control Room, Duty Managers, suppliers, end users and act as the main point of contact.
- Be fully trained on all aspects of AMC - providing resilience for leave cover and breaks for all AMC technicians.
- Single point of contact/cascade of information for all technicians and security guards with the Protective Security Manager
- Provide assistance and direction to the AMC Technicians for all Crime Pattern Analysis and subsequent investigations.
- Ensure all YW policies and procedures are accurate and up to date.
- Training of new/all AMC technicians, Physical and Electronic Security (PES) team members and guarding provision who will be employed within the AMC.
- Ensure all systems/checks are conducted and cascaded/understood by all AMC technicians.
- Conduct, manage and track monthly AMC Disaster Recovery checks and manage all faults.
- Provide assistance with CCTV requests as directed by PES team.
- Assist with security investigations and the gathering of evidence.
- Compile and submit AMC performance/KPI data on a monthly basis
- Provide assistance with security incident reports.
- Provide first line support for all ad-hoc guarding request, database upkeep and SAP Ariba submissions
- Provide second line Proximity Access Control (PAC) & Abloy Cliq Electro-Mechanical key administrator support and ensure provision of PAC card availability each working day.
- Ensure shift rotas are maintained and monitor annual leave to safeguard a complete service is always provided.
- Assistance in contract management for our guarding contracts.
- Conducting our own welfare checks on contracted security officers.
- Management and maintenance of all our direct delivery service providers.
- Involvement with site security visits where required, by the PES team.
- Conduct second line assurance on newly installed electronic security
- Representative at PES team & project meetings.
- Provide/performs AMC technician function as and when required.
- Other duties and project involvement as required and in support of the PES team.
- Stakeholder engagement with local law enforcement/contract partners along with internal and external colleagues.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Proven leader with a strong ability to lead people and manage.
- Effective communication, report writing, information assimilation/dissemination and possesses a high standard of Microsoft Office products
- Be security vetted to SC or successfully pass an SC check (Requirement for the role)
- Preferred security control room experience within a CCTV or similar environment
- Professional telephone manner
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
