Consumer Product NA Sales Manager 

 

The Sales Manager North America, Consumer Packaging will manage sales activities for the Consumer Packaging product line in the North American sales territory. You are leading Account Managers/Inside Sales Managers to improve the organization’s market position in North America and assisting the company in reaching goals and objectives related to sales, profitability and penetration.

 

Your key tasks and responsibilities :

 

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans in the jurisdiction
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
  • Direct sales development activity by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
  • Closely monitor and manage volume/margin balance to maximize contribution margin growth.
  • Represent the company by attending trade association meetings and events including exhibitions, customer/supplier events and other networking opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.

 

Who we are looking for:

 

A leader with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the plastics industry and are holding an University Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent; Masters´ Degree would be a plus and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

More requirements are:

 

  • Excellent experience in B2B sales and commercial environment. Preferably in polymer and/or plastics industry.
  • Technical comprehension of film manufacturing and converting
  • An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
  • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement and strong operational focus.
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics.
