Job Summary:

Be the future of West. This three-year rotation program offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience within Engineering. It includes three to four rotations across different functions, designed to deepen insights and skills in various Engineering areas, which may include Automation, Tooling, Validation, Metrology, and Preventative Maintenance. The participants will be involved in a variety of projects, collaborate with multiple teams, and acquire a broad range of skills pertinent to Engineering.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage in assigned projects, applying practical skills and knowledge.
  • Learn about West’s global business and practices.
  • Work collaboratively with team members across various Engineering functions, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
  • Continuously develop and refine skills relevant to each rotation, including technical, analytical, and soft skills necessary for effective performance.
  • Contribute to innovative ideas and solutions to challenges faced within each function, demonstrating creativity and initiative.
  • Support and coordinate continuous process improvement projects.
  • Assist in implementing new innovative processes and technologies in cooperation with the local Leadership team and the manufacturing site.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and quickly adapt to the changing dynamics of different departmental functions or sites.
  • Work with others to identify causes of problems and develop resolution strategies.
  • Regularly provide feedback on project progress and prepare reports as required, ensuring clear communication with the rotation program manager and functional rotation managers

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Seniors currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited degree program
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering majors required
  • Completion of the degree required by June in anticipated graduation year
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Leader of extracurricular activities at their college/university
  • Permanent work authorization in the US
  • Willingness and able to relocate for rotational assignments
  • Willingness to move permanently to any West US location

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Teamwork, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • A growth mindset focused on continuous learning and self- development.
  • Skills in analytical problem solving.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 5% of the time
