As a member of the wider Audiological Support team this role supports the Audiology Training function but links across into clinical standards, professional practice, customer care and retail .
Reporting to the Head of Audiological Training, the role supports the delivery of a wide programme of training and development initiatives. This includes delivery of the HCPC approved inhouse academic qualification leading to HAD (QHAD) HCPC registration, onboarding of new colleagues, graduate preceptorship programmes, Hearing Wellness Advisor training, microsuction training, CPD for HAAs & other colleagues and collaborative working with Retail Commercial Sales Training function.

A key focus of the Audiological Training Professional is to support, design and deliver training programmes and events. This will include preparation and delivery of teaching materials, marking and assessment of progress.
The Audiological Training Professional will also be expected to research, liaise with external bodies and create articles and modules for the Academy and webinar formats.
Work as part of the Audiological Support team primarily within Audiology training division, supporting the Head of Audiological Training to understand and meet the training needs of the business and identify innovative delivery methods to maximise impact of support offered.
Work within the Audiological Support Team, Retail and HR to proactively identify opportunities to support colleagues in the field to develop the “Boots Hearingcare Experience” and drive expertise.
Redesign current teaching materials to support delivery across a variety of platforms which can be accessed for different learning activities. This should include live webinar based training and prerecorded content as well as self-directed study resources.
Support delivery and organisation of QHAD programme as requested including lecturing, developing teaching resources, assessing, timetabling, setting & marking assignments. The role is required to feedback on assignments/exams, practical competency assessments and student progress /engagement to the wider Audiology team.
Support organisation and delivery of training required to manage an undergraduate Audiology Placement Programme. There will be a requirement to liaise with Universities in relation to this.
To support infield capability and training and collaborate with retail commercial training function to align to current business needs.
Support accredited Supervisors to ensure are informed of requirements and can maintain standards.
To support organisation and outcome management of undergraduate student placements & established colleagues in clinic plus provide support for competency assessments. Liaise with a variety of stakeholders to ensure students/colleagues make correct progress and meet required standards. .
Design & build engaging learning modules upload and review current content for training resources hosted on the BHC online Academy as directed. Ensure colleagues understand what training is required to be maintain competence with the latest technology and other professional issues.
To support delivery of Induction programmes, coordinating additional supporting resources and infield coaching. Marking and reviewing induction Academy course is also required along with reporting to Head of Audiological Training, HR & retail on outcomes. Involvement in annual induction review.
Work with Head of Audiological Training, HR and Retail to optimise on boarding experience of new start experienced HAA's with the company and including delivery of the graduate preceptorship programme.
To provide distance support to recent inductees – through a variety of methods such as Microsoft Teams use WhatsApp, web meetings, e-mail and phone support.
To support Audiological Support team with research, design and delivering training on all new and existing products so that colleagues are qualified to dispense our products and maintain expertise with technology and confidently help make recommendations so customers can make an informed choice.
To research and participate in the ongoing development of support materials and initiatives within the Audiological Support Team.
To work in partnership with Retail to support an annual programme for all HAAs of In field Development days and mandatory modules. This involves contributing to & attending preparatory sessions, actual events and participating in delivery of activities.
Work with other departments to ensure they are involved in the design and delivery of programmes which are cross functional
To provide clinical and professional guidance and support for work arising from within wider Audiological Support team including clinical investigations, clinical audits and HCPC regulation issues.
