The role
As a Web Developer you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will have the opportunity to be part of the software engineering discipline supporting the use and development of a WEB based Data Portal.
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Creating new document hosting areas
- Uploading documents
- Liaising with customers
- Completing corresponding checks across systems
- Creating standalone portal installation kits and update kits
- Completing fault rectification activities
- Completing new system development activities including subject matter expert involvement during agile development sprints
37 hours per week fully on-site at our Lincoln offices
Desirable experience of the Web Developer
- Utilising JSON data structures.
- Authoring XSL / XSLT and exploiting XML.
- The ability to create light-weight user interfaces.
- Knowledge and experience of the installation and configuration of web technologies, for example Apache Tomcat and Apache Solr.
- Use of HTML and the REACT framework for JavaScript.
- Knowledge and experience of requirements engineering and testing techniques
- Knowledge of the installation and configuration of proxy servers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems including exploitation of Hyper-V functionality.
