This position supports Wacker Polymer sales within the specified region and will be the first line of commercial and technical support for customers in the region. Markets served are across a broad range of dispersion and dispersible polymer powder markets including construction, adhesives, engineered fabrics, caulks/mastics/coatings and carpet. Responsible for growing polymers business at existing or new accounts and developing relationships across multiple levels within the customer matrix, such as chemists at large global corporations and owners of small businesses. Have capability to integrate inputs from multiple contacts at key accounts to identify and pursue opportunities that create differentiation relative to our competitors and drive long term strategic profitable growth. Leading member of the customer team, which also includes ADTS and marketing members and plays a critical role in developing, managing and integrating the actions for the Customer Development Planning into actions for the team throughout the year.
• Maintain and strengthen key commercial and technical relationships in markets/customers strategic to business goals.
• Develop relationships across functions and at different levels within the customer organization.
• Work with marketing and ADTS to develop and close opportunities that will contribute to future growth and market development.
• Responsible for driving closure of opportunities in the salesforce database
• Communicate market intelligence for market database and operational and strategic marketing using call reports, voice mail and professionally written e-mails.
• Take lead role in Customer Development Planning.
• Develop account plans for Strategic customers and keep plans fresh and actionable driving to growth for the business.

Integrate competitive information into routine reporting. Make sure business is up to date on competitive activities that could influence results
• Participate, with customer team members, in contract and annual negotiations with selected customers on bids, annual pricing initiatives and contracts.
• Maximize profit and business goals.
• Minimum 5 years experience in technical sales (preferably chemicals.)
• Bachelor's Degree in business, technical or related field required.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge with salesforce.com a plus
• Interest in learning new technology (chemical and electronic literacy)
• Must be able to learn new customer relationship management (Salesforce.com) technology and business reporting technology (SAP/Business Objects).
• Influence skills to sell internally as well as at the customer level
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Have strong communication skills across different business functions
• Highly motivated and have excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Location flexible but Dallas TX or southwestern US is highly preferred.
