Job Description

We are currently seeking an ambitious Production Team Leader to join our Team within Haverhill. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dedicated to delivering manufacturing excellence within a fast-moving environment. 

This is a is a hands-on role, working a 3-shift rotating pattern (Monday to Friday). In addition to completing  daily production tasks, the Production Team Leader will also support the Shift Supervisor in ensuring all operational targets and KPIs are delivered, whilst maintaining high standard of safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities will include: 

Leading a Team, ensuring that all work is complete in a safe manner whilst adhering to quality standards:

• Supporting the Supervisor in promoting and developing a culture that is in accordance with Operations’ Cores principles.
• Distribute and monitor the workload to the team and ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and KPIs are met.
• Ensure Good Working Practices are adhered to (such as  GMP). 

Provide support to the Shift Supervisor with people management responsibilities:

• Taking absence notification calls, completing return to work interviews and note taking during formal meetings.
• Manage the team’s time (such as responding to Holiday requests etc.) to ensure sufficient headcount to meet production schedules.

Contribute towards effective communication and the cascade of information to the Shift:

• Lead Production Team meetings. Ensure all relevant information is shared with the team and actions are captured. Escalate any issues if required.
• Keep the team  up to date with any changes to SOPS or company updates. 
• To keep KPIs and relevant reports up to date within area of responsibility  up to date 

Job Requirements

Required: 

• Excellent communication and problem solving skills 

• Can do attitude with the ability to positively influence a team 

• Proven experience within a similar fast moving environment 

Desirable: 

• Prior experience working as an operator within a food/chemical production environment

• Food Safety qualification 

• Previous experience within HACCAP
