Our Commercial Property Asset Management department has a vacancy for a Client Accountant to provide support to the Partners and team. The role is in our national portfolio team is to lead on the day to day client accounting and reporting for a portfolio of UK commercial properties. The portfolio includes properties for national instructions and some additional standalone properties.

 

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Preparing monthly / quarterly reporting as required
  • Attendance at client meetings and presenting on reporting
  • Preparation of variance analysis with explanations for them
  • Rent Raising and other adhoc charges
  • Processing database amendments on the system
  • Assisting with service charge budgeting, reconciliation and cash reconciliation
  • Proving support for junior staff
  • Liaison with credit control, purchase ledger & treasury teams

 

We would expect the successful candidate to liaise with Surveyors and on site staff based in different locations through the country and also with the specialist teams within the accounts team e.g. Treasury, Accounts Payable and Credit Control. We would also expect the candidate to be confident in dealing directly with client and tenant queries.

 

We are looking for an organised, driven and energetic individual who can pick up systems quickly and has a good accounting knowledge. They need to have a proven track record of delivering to a high standard in line with all set deadlines. Ideally we are looking for someone for with relevant experience of working in a property agency environment.

 

Job Summary

 

Duties/Responsibilities

 

Full Client/Management Accounting:

Knowledge & Experience of Client Reporting in various formats
Production of Client Statements and supporting reports in line with Client KPI’s

Happy to attend and present to reporting at client meetings

Tax reporting & HMRC Submissions (CIS, VAT, NRL).

Distribution of Rental Income & Control of Cash Balances

Database & Lease Administration
Full Client & Tenant liaison

 

Service Charge Accounting:

Service charge reviews & Cash Reconciliations

Control of Void Liabilities & Caps

Cashflows & Budget Variance Analysis

Liaising with 3rd Party Auditors
 

Fees:

Administration of own portfolio management fees

 

Work with:

Client accountants - Supervision and assisting more junior members of the team

Credit control

Purchase ledger

Treasury

Surveyors, Facility Management, On-site staff, Associates, Partners
               

Professional experience and personal skills profile

 

Systems
Qube Horizon

Proactis

Proficient Microsoft Excel & Word skills

Experience
Experienced Client Accountant or Senior Client Accountant experience within a similar environment
