About the Opportunity

The incumbent provides direct administrative support to the Manager, Pathology Informatics. The incumbent functions as a primary point of contact for the Manager, providing response to general information requests related to the office or referring calls to others as appropriate. The Assistant provides confidential administrative service with high quality organizational and communication skills to assist and support the Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the office on a daily basis.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a recognized office administration program/business program/secretarial program
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative experience OR a combination of equivalent education, training, and experience
  • Advanced skills and abilities in all facets of modern office practices and technology and with information and meeting technologies
  • Experience utilizing technology in meeting planning to create efficiencies and streamline tracking and retrieval of information
  • Excellent communication (listening, oral and written) and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a high degree of tact, judgment, courtesy and confidentiality 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to edit and proofread
  • Interpersonal skills including ability to work as a team member and ability to foster collaborative relationships
  • Excellent organizational, planning, follow-through and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and accurately handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and demonstrated initiative and proactive approaches to problem solving and critical thinking with strong decision-making capability
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Biweekly

Compensation and Incentives

$21.58 - $26.98 Hourly
