Maintenance Trainee
Starting Pay $27.31
This position is an entry-level position in the maintenance department. This position will receive both classroom and on-the-job training in supporting technicians with a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment. Trainee must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures and pre-job task list.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Following all safety rules and practices
- Learn to complete PM task
- Learn to correctly lubricate/oil machine components
- Learn basic repairs
- Mechanic helper
- Ability to operate shop/hand tools in a safe manner
- Become an IP licensed motorized equipment operator
- Gain hydraulic knowledge
- Gain basic pneumatic knowledge
- Gain ability to identify power sources
- Gain welding knowledge
- Learn how to reference equipment manuals
- Learn SAP work order system
- Maintaining teamwork with production operators
- Maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends to support maintenance
- Possess a positive work attitude
- Work well in a team environment and equally as well in an individual setting
- Perform duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or designee
- Must be able to pass mechanical test to advance
Sign on / Retention Bonus:
$1000 after 30 days (Perfect Attendance)
$500 after 6 months
$500 after 1 year
Category/Shift:
HOURLY FULL TIME – 2 12 hour shifts: 7 am – 7 pm and 7 pm – 7 am.
Typical Rotation – 1st week: Tu, Wed, Thur, off Fri, Sat & Sun
2nd week: Mon, off Tu, Wed & Thurs, on Fri, Sat & Sun
Shift alternates weekly to have a 3 day weekend every other weekend
