Position Specific Description
Position Overview: NextEra Energy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a PGD (Power Generation Division) Maintenance Specialist in the Wind sector. As a PGD Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine equipment at our wind farms. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind assets.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of wind turbine equipment, including the nacelle, rotor, gearbox, generator, and control systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve any mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues that may arise.
- Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, engineers, and supervisors, to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, record maintenance activities, and generate reports.
- Participate in training programs and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and safety regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, equipment logs, and repair documentation.

• Leads, under general guidance, the cost and schedule functions in accordance with corporate financial policies and procedures
