Position Specific Description

Position Overview: NextEra Energy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a PGD (Power Generation Division) Maintenance Specialist in the Wind sector. As a PGD Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine equipment at our wind farms. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind assets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of wind turbine equipment, including the nacelle, rotor, gearbox, generator, and control systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve any mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues that may arise.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, engineers, and supervisors, to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, record maintenance activities, and generate reports.
  • Participate in training programs and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, equipment logs, and repair documentation.

Job Overview

Employees in this job direct a team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors involved in major maintenance activities or plant maintenance. Individuals in this position lead internal and external resources to Deliver Certainty for assigned major maintenance activities or plant maintenance to achieve objectives for: safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and cost compliance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Focuses on streamlining activities through the use of lean maintenance concepts and standardized processes and procedures
•   Develops leadership skills to assume greater accountability for internal employee development and performance management
•   Leads, under general guidance, the cost and schedule functions in accordance with corporate financial policies and procedures
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
•  Experience:2+ years
•  Supervisor/Management Experience:0+ years

The base pay for this position is $81,600.00 to $122,400.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
