What you will do:
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environmental while adhering to all Safety procedures, rules, regulations.
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Aids in developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and parts upgrades; controlling corrosion.
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Maintains vehicle records by noting services, repairs, and parts in SAP.
- Controls costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options; and participating in site Continuous Improvement programs.
- Keeps supplies ready by determining stock levels; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
- Enhances organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Safety conscious
- Ablility to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate both (written/verbal)
- Abiltity to take initiative, troubleshoot and work in a team environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor/Management.
What you will bring:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience or certification from Technical School
- ASE Diesel Mechanic Certification preferred but not required
- Basic Computer Skills
