What you will do:
Maintaining a safe and clean work environmental while adhering to all Safety procedures, rules, regulations.
Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Aids in developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and parts upgrades; controlling corrosion.
Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Maintains vehicle records by noting services, repairs, and parts in SAP.
Controls costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options; and participating in site Continuous Improvement programs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
Enhances organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Safety conscious
Ablility to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Ability to communicate both (written/verbal)
Abiltity to take initiative, troubleshoot and work in a team environment.
Performing other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor/Management.
What you will bring:
High school diploma or GED preferred
3-5 years’ experience or certification from Technical School
ASE Diesel Mechanic Certification preferred but not required
Basic Computer Skills
