An opportunity has become available to join the Aramark UK team as a General Manager on site at one of our leading higher education sites based in central London, WC1H 9EF . This is a full time and permanent role which will be as follows:
Working five days over seven serving over 700 meals per day either morning or evening service times. Our service is open 365 days per year. We also have an extensive summer school.
Responsible for developing and executing strategy, advocating for your client, encouraging dedication, driving engagement, and delivering positive financial results. Reporting to our Director of Operations, you will also have a hands on role and assist with four other residential buildings.
To be successful in this role, you will have a contract catering or higher education residential background and will have operated at a senior catering manager level.

A day in the life of a General Manager:
Be responsible for the day to day management of the site and the respective team
· Adhere to set annual budgets for site and achieve them
· Maintain financial information system as required by Aramark and the client
· Menu planning and stock management
· Implement and maintain appropriate procedures on site and compliant with all audits either client or company
· Assume overall responsibility for quality and safety compliance on site
· Monitor and evaluate site performance and productivity
· Maintain good communications and working relationships with your client, key customers and all staff
· Consistently and proactively review financial and operational performance of contracts to ensure the achievement of all business and financial targets
· Identify opportunities at site level and investigate potential
· Manage recruitment, training and development of team on site and to provide regular feedback on performance
· Attend management meetings as required
· Assist with innovation, menu development for the group
You'll be set up for success if you have:
· Experience operating as a senior catering manager in a contract catering/residential environment
· Ability to lead a team to success and drive standards
· Experience managing a P&L and associated finances
