We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to be a part of our integral team at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, York, YO32 5SW

- Full time – 35 hours pr week
- Shifts range from Monday – Sunday, will be expected to do one late bar shift a week (finish time 11pm)

What you'll be doing
- Required to be flexible according to business requirements. The daily focus may vary however, it is expected that activities will typically include the following:
- Serve food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation
- Operating the till and cash handling
- Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot and cold offers
- Take delivery and restock goods and ensure appropriate displays merchandised correctly
- Carry out stock rotation and assist with stock checks as required
- Clean back of house and front of house service areas to support delivery of services
- Preparation of any other public facing areas as required including set up for hospitality events
- Support the delivery of evening hospitality events
Experience
- Food hygiene and Health and Safety level 2.. or willing to obtain via our e learning system
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
- DBS check required
