JBS Carriers adopts methods aimed at guaranteeing the safety and preservation of cattle quality during transport and preserving the characteristics of end products at the moment of distribution, transporting each of the products of our mix in modern vehicles that provide adequate temperature conditions. JBS Carriers also develops cost control and economy-of-scale mechanisms to optimize operational efficiencies.
About the Role
The JBS Carriers team are seeking an experienced Multi-Combination (MC) Driver to join our Interstate team based at our Riverview location. The successful candidate will be required to transport refrigerated or frozen product from Brisbane to various locations interstate on a weekly basis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Transporting refrigerated and frozen product from Brisbane to Sydney, Sydney to Yanco
- Ensuring efficient operation of the Prime Mover and associated equipment
- Completing daily pre-start checks on vehicles before operating
- Ensuring compliance with all Road Transport Requirements and National Heavy Vehicle
- Complying with all aspects of laws related to the Chain of Responsibility
- Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety Requirements
- Operating under Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)
About You
- Hold a current Multi-Combination (MC) Driver’s License
- Previous experience as an MC Driver
- Sound Traffic History Report (5 years)
- Proven experience in operating a B-double; B Triple or Road Train Combination including hooking & unhooking and backing onto docks
- Ability to work across a 7-day period including weekends
- Hold a basic Fatigue Management Certification
- Current Drivers Medical
- Knowledge of the above locations advantageous
