Senior Manager – SAM in Forensics, Assurance - London
SAM in Forensics is a software asset management (SAM) and software licensing practice within EY’s Forensic Discovery and Analytics team (FD&A). FD&A specialises in forensic technology services encompassing eDiscovery, Forensic Data Analytics and Data-led Forensic investigations. Using state of the art tools, our teams support clients with fraud detection, fraud investigation and compliance management.
Our team of SAM and software licensing specialists supports our clients by: (1) assisting in the management and implementation of software license compliance programmes; (2) designing and operating SAM programmes using EY forensic techniques and proprietary technology; and (3) leveraging our Forensic Discovery and Analytics techniques to assist the legal community in handling software licensing disputes.

What you will do:
- Lead SAM projects, project teams and client relationships
- Lead Software License compliance programmes and relationship management with our clients’ local compliance managers and teams.
- Upskill the junior members of the SAM in Forensics team in SAM and Software Licensing
- Develop new business opportunities and lead with business development activity within a sector or proposition including pipeline creation, identifying/researching opportunities, identifying and engaging with key internal and client stakeholders, and leading the creation of client proposals
- Lead the planning, implementation, and documentation of internal process improvements and tool initiatives
- Promote and develop thought leadership
- Lead the Quality & Risk procedures
Requirements:
- Experience of managing SAM projects, such as managed services or software compliance reviews, either at a publisher, other 3rd party provider such as other Big 4 or an end user
- Knowledge of software licensing, software license compliance and/or software asset management
- Deep knowledge of software licensing terms and conditions
- Extensive project management and delivery experience
- At least 6 years’ experience in the delivery of SAM projects
- A desire to innovate and use the latest technologies to enhance our client’s experiences and to drive efficiencies in projects
- Experience in delivering on business development activities
- Desirable to have a Software Asset Management qualification such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or the ITAM Review 12 Box Model Certification
- Experience in working with international teams
Preferred:
- Big 4 experience, specifically Quality & Risk Management procedures
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools, specifically Alteryx
