Level 3, Assistant Director (Manager) – Full-time Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Hybrid working – some presence in the office required (but currently opportunity to work mostly from home) and occasional travel

Employer Brand Team (UK)

 

The award-winning EY UK Employer Brand team is responsible for employer branding, recruitment marketing, candidate engagement & experience, and promoting the firm as a place to work across the UK and Ireland.

 

The team has groups that lead on work for Experienced Hire and Student Recruitment, as well as subject matter specialists in digital, social and creative. We aim to balance the use of external partners with the advantages of keeping activity in-house.

 

Our creative designers get involved in a wide range of work, from initiating and leading conceptual design campaigns to producing quick turnaround tactical assets for social media. You’ll work closely with colleagues in the team, but will also have the chance to partner with clients in the wider EY business (UKI and global) as well as external providers and specialists.

 

As part of the creative delivery team, responsibilities will include:

  • Developing concepts, designs and innovative ideas for employer brand campaigns
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge on tools and resources used by the firm and constantly evaluating new technologies and tools
  • Managing design projects from concept through production, effectively prioritising work and balancing multiple priorities to meet client commitments and deadlines
  • Maintaining awareness of “state-of-the-art” techniques, equipment, best practices and developments within the design community
  • Understanding the quality standards and procedures established by EY, including VI and brand guidelines – and confident in how to maximise them
  • Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and present ideas.

 

We’re looking for someone who can

  • Work across all areas of employer brand and managing projects from start to finish.
  • Bring innovation and creativity into all our work, taking the lead on ensuring team members are delivering on business objectives.
  • Create and manage a close relationship with cross functions internally as well as externally with design/brand agency.
  • Understand the key business drivers and the role of employer brand within the context of the overall business objectives.
  • Signpost key project milestones to relevant stakeholders and gather feedback to inform content decisions at appropriate times from the right people.

 

Critical knowledge and experience

  • Substantial employer brand, corporate brand or customer marketing design experience.
  • Technical skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, AfterEffects, PremierePro and PowerPoint
  • Able to create and execute clear project plans for delivery
  • Confident communicator
  • Results driven

 

Ideally you also have:

  • An advanced understanding of employer brand trends and best practice.
  • Experience of leading on multimedia campaigns and running a budget.

 

Personal Competencies

  • Leadership skills – able to plan and manage time effectively with the ability to lead a team, running multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify good and effective employer brand content – be able to review and critique creative work in line with key objectives.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of overall employer brand goals and deliverables and how this role plays a part in achieving them.
  • Participates in regular discussions with stakeholders across the UK about the strategic employer brand direction and impact on recruitment; serves as a trusted advisor.
  • Relationship building skills – able to build productive relationships with global team and colleagues within the UK team. Always listening and adapting approach to be effective where necessary but also able to express their opinion when relevant.
  • Identifies when to ask for assistance (with knowledge or best practise) or when to escalate significant issues.
