Our EY SAP team is focused on working with our clients to leverage these SAP innovations and create business value. We are looking for an individual with a proven SAP Programme Management background who can assist our clients on their business transformation journeys and large-scale SAP implementation projects.
The successful candidate will be a business-focused SAP delivery professional with a passion for helping to build a rapidly growing programme management capability in EY. We are looking for an individual who has been there and done it and embraces not only the ever-evolving approaches and methods of delivering transformational projects but also embraces the supporting technology.
Your key responsibilities
At Senior Manager level you will be leading programme and project engagements working directly with senior stakeholders of leading UK businesses. You will ultimately be responsible for all aspects of a client engagement balancing commercial and operational risk against client requirements and contractual commitments.

As a Senior Manager you would be expected to:
- Conduct on-going business development both internally and with clients
- Plan, manage and execute the delivery of engagements
- Manage engagement assurance and commercial risk management
- Where appropriate, “hands on delivery” of artefacts and other deliverables
- Review and quality assure work products mentoring those at junior level
- Manage, coach and mentor engagement team members
- Act as a career councillor to junior members of staff
Skills and attributes for success
You will have knowledge and experience of the following:
- A strong and proven background in the successful delivery of large and complex programme engagements in the SAP domain utilising a range of commercial models
- Leading multiple teams and third parties to successfully deliver contracted work through constant and clear communication, strong leadership and development of relationships amongst client peer groups and senior business stakeholders
- The ability to demonstrate thought leadership to senior stakeholders within client organisations, to challenge, support and help deliver on their strategic goals and objectives
- Have a strong foundation in project delivery approaches including both traditional waterfall and agile methods and how these can be best leveraged to ensure a successful outcome for both EY and its clients
To qualify for the role you must have
- A minimum of two end to end SAP program engagements with specific experience of business transformation programmes
- Have a good understanding of the specific challenges that businesses face
- Experience in developing and delivering client strategies aligning business outcomes with SAP technology solutions
- Demonstrated ability in leading teams across broad technical and business disciplines while maintaining the teams’ focus on the business objectives
- Experience of delivering engagements using a mixture of On-site, Off-site, Near-shore and Off-shore delivery capabilities
- A self-directed individual who has a strong independent problem-solving approach
- The ability to mentor team members, peers and stakeholders in the delivery of SAP programmes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build ‘Trusted Adviser’ relationships with board level and senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific engagements
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A foundation in a SAP technology or functional area
- Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various SAP technologies
- A good understanding of the SAP roadmap and industry trends
- Strong experience with Waterfall, Hybrid-Agile and Agile methods (eg. Scrum, Lean, Kanban)

Client Stakeholder Management, Business & IT Planning, Risk Management, Costing & Budgeting and Project & Programme Portfolio Planning.
Technical skills
A deep understanding of Project Management methods and supporting SAP technologies
Market/ Sector knowledge
Demonstrable sector or industry working knowledge in any of the key markets of Energy and Resources, Health Sciences and Wellness, Consumer, TMT and Government Local or National would be a distinct advantage
