Technology Consulting – SAP Technical Architect

We are looking for an individual with a proven delivery background who can assist our clients with delivering next generation SAP technology.
The successful candidate will be a technology-minded, business-focused individual with a passion SAP technology and architecture. We are looking for someone who embraces not only the changes in technology but the ever-evolving approaches and methods of delivering transformational SAP projects.
Your key responsibilities
At Senior Manager level, you’ll be responsible for managing teams and delivering high quality work as well as helping to define our market offerings and engaging in early stage bid work.
You will therefore be:

Defining the technical strategy for our customers around:
- SAP Technical Architecture as the backbone of SAP Solutions we deliver (including technical roadmaps, migration approaches and best practice)
- Impacts of SAP RISE constructs and direct experience of system migration to SAP RISE
- Cloud and Hybrid architectures (including SAP Cloud Platform, backend to Cloud connectivity, Hyperscaler based SAP landscapes)
- Usage of SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP LaMa and other technical tools in delivery and operations
- Providing thought leadership on key areas of technical innovation including:
- Service-centric design
- Hybrid landscapes; setup, security and management
- Continuous integration testing with an SAP context
- Delivery based on agile approaches
- Creating the link between technology architecture and business outcomes
- Working with the rest of the capability to identify and adopt best practices, as well as share knowledge
Skills and attributes for success
- Deep experience in SAP technical architecture across estimating, planning, scoping, issue and risk management
- Strong background in SAP BASIS across ABAP, Java and HANA
- Experience with the design and deployment of SAP solutions in a Hyperscaler environment, including knowledge of sizing and migration – SAP RISE experience is essential
- Experience in defining technical architectures to support highly available solutions
- Release Management and Change Management
- Experience in deployment of SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM
- Track record of learning new technologies and applying them successfully
- Working knowledge of hybrid (Cloud and On Premises) landscapes
- Consultancy background
- Solution architecture skills
- Have experience of supporting pre-sales engagements and responding to RFP’s etc
To qualify for the role, you must have
- The ability to structure teams, lead work streams and architect innovative solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build ‘Trusted Adviser’ relationships
- A deep understanding of the Technology Development Lifecycle
Ideally, you’ll also have
- 10+ years’ experience in complex SAP delivery and/or support
- Hold relevant SAP certifications
- Hold relevant certifications from one or more of the Hyperscalers
- A progressive approach to SAP implementation, experience of SAP Solution Architecture
- An understanding of the SAP roadmap and industry trends
- Strong experience with Waterfall, Hybrid-Agile and Agile methods (eg. Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
- Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific engagements
