Employer Brand Senior Advisor – Student Recruitment – UK&I

Location – UK wide
Level 2.5 – Supervising Associate
Hybrid working – currently one day per week in the office

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too.

Our award-winning team is on a mission to build a better working world and we are responsible for leading the consistent design and delivery of communication campaigns to help inform and attract the best and most diverse talent into our growing business.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Employer Brand Manager for Student and leading on key campaigns to support our Student Talent Attraction and Engagement strategy.

You’ll work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, forming your own relationships with key stakeholders across a broad range of business lines with one key goal - to attract the best and most diverse talent to EY.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team with a reputation for creating innovative campaigns and market-leading communications in the employer branding space.

We believe that hiring great talent is the cornerstone of every successful organisation. If you share that belief then this a great opportunity to help us make that belief a reality, all while advancing your career within one of the UK's largest (and, if we may say so, finest) professional services firms.

We support hybrid working, but you will be expected to spend some time in the office. We are currently recruiting UK wide.

EY is an equal opportunities employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our colleagues. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with colleagues and the business to design, develop and implement comprehensive attraction campaigns that will add real value to EY’s student proposition.
  • Create compelling and distinctive recruitment content to engage students at all stages of their career search journey.
  • Ownership! You’ll take responsibility for the reporting and measurement of specific campaigns, lead on key partnerships and understand the role of student hiring within the context of our overall business objectives
  • Be an active part of the employer brand team – providing colleagues with support or guidance, and collaborating effectively
  • Improve awareness of the employer brand team across the business via proactive networking and collaboration
  • Drive partnering, innovation and creativity within the Student Recruitment team, sharing best practice with the wider business on audience mindset, messaging and creative
  • Proactively scan the market to understand the latest trends in the employer branding space and beyond, with an eye on new campaigns, channels, and initiatives across the market
  • Work closely with colleagues to create a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members

Skills and attributes for success

  • Project management skills – ability to plan and manage time and activity effectively. You will have experience of working on multiple, deadline-driven projects simultaneously.
  • Relationship building skills – ability to build productive relationships with a range of colleagues and stakeholders. You will be an active listener - but be able to express your opinion and influence when required.
  • Leadership skills – experience of leading on campaigns and managing others. You will be able to bring out the best in colleagues, motivating and pitching in for the team as required.
  • Commercial awareness – you will have experience measuring complex business goals and deliverables – regularly reporting on these to teams and stakeholders.
  • Resilience – you will be able to work under pressure in a complex business, to respond to change and to lead others through change

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Previous experience working in the employer branding space
  • A genuine passion for building connections with a diverse range of student talent and helping them make informed career choices
  • An advanced understanding of employer brand trends and best practice
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen too.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Previous experience working in a professional services environment and within a global, matrix environment
  • Data driven mind-set with the ability to analyse and report on campaign performance
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues
