Business Development & Marketing Executive at Milliman

Position Summary

Reporting to and working closely with the senior BD and marketing executive, this role will support mainly the UK practices (Life, Property & Casualty and Health) and provide some support to the European practices (Life and P&C disciplines). A key focus of this role is to be responsible for leading the digital promotion of Milliman UK’s services, consultants and events.

While UK activities will be a core focus, this role sits in the global business development team within the MarCom function and will include working on some European projects.

Responsibilities

Digital promotion of Milliman UK:
• Manage the UK’s LinkedIn activity – soliciting content, advising consultants, producing and posting content. Reviewing analytics and advising on ways to improve
• Create and maintain a digital marketing calendar that makes the most of content
• Craft compelling and concise copy for social media, blogs and newsletters. Coordinate and/or produce supporting imagery... infographics and videos for marketing purposes
• Ensure website content for Milliman UK is up to date.

Business/client Development For Milliman UK
• Responding to client questionnaires on behalf of Milliman UK
• Support the UK consultants with creation of marketing materials
• Produce and coordinate newsletter content to promote Milliman’s insurance thought-leadership
• Coordinating RFP responses, including soliciting content, CVs, rates and other information to win work.

Events/Conferences
• Lead on marketing/BD elements of Milliman or externally hosted events/conferences, eg digital promotion, managing booths, giveaways etc.
• Maintain an events calendar to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided to maximize efforts
• Ensure events yield useful content and assets for pre- and post-event marketing (such as photos of the event, quotes or information to produce blogs).

European / Team Activities
• Maintaining the team’s standard materials, e.g. general content decks, placemats and other client collateral
• Support on Europe-led growth activity including RFPs, events and campaigns
• Manage supplier and other external relationships, including invoicing
• Work with legal to process agreements with clients and other external suppliers
• Run BD introduction meetings for new joiners
• Be a MS Dynamics super user, ensure any client activity with BD team involvement is tracked, reported and maintained.

LOCATION:

This position is based out of the Milliman office in London, UK. The role holder will be required to be in the office at least 3 days per week to engage with and work with stakeholders. The role holder will need to be flexible and attend events/conferences to meet the requirements of the role.

Skills & Qualifications Required
• Marketing, business development, or sales-support experience in professional services.
• Experience utilizing and maximizing benefits of digital marketing channels.
• Business acumen, excellent client service skills, and a consultative mindset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Cultural awareness with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders in multiple countries.
• Ability to establish trust with key stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willing to learn and self-motivated.

Skills & Qualifications Preferred
• Familiarity with CRM systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics preferred) is desirable
