Financial Planning & Analyst– Labour, Opex & Reporting

Location: Runcorn, Liverpool (UK Headquarters)
Swissport, a global leader in aviation services, is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual for a critical role within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing internal and group analysis and reporting packs for key stakeholders, owning the labour cost analysis on a monthly basis, providing analytical support, cost management, and value-added reporting.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing timely analysis for internal stakeholders as well as per Group requirements (SMR, Preflash, CEO Pack, 5 Maps, One offs).
- Serving as the single point of contact for labour cost analysis and reporting to support pay negotiations, month-end labour accruals/cost control, influence key stakeholders, and handle ad hoc requests.
- Supporting the UK&I Forecast and Budget process including system input and extract and creating Analysis packs.
- Analysing and understanding the operating expenses cost base and making recommendations on efficiencies/cost control recommendations.
Qualifications
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to manage competing demands to tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Financial Systems.
- Able to communicate effectively to different functions and all levels of the business.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with ambiguity/partial information.
- Able to travel between Swissport sites with overnight stays as required.
Experience/Education:
- Ideally, degree educated in a numerical or business-related subject.
- Qualified Accountant.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Experience of a large, multi-site business.
- Experience of a low margin/high volume contract environment is desirable but not essential.
This role requires a dedicated self-starter that can operate independently to drive performance improvements. The individual’s performance will have a direct impact on the financial performance of business sectors and the region’s EBIT performance.
