Position Overview:
Swissport is an award winning, leading provider of ground and air cargo services, dedicated to delivering efficient and reliable solutions to airlines and airports worldwide.
Swissport GB is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a multifunctional role as a Ramp Agent and Aircraft Services Cleaner. This position is crucial to ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft operations while maintaining high cleanliness standards for our fleet.
You’ll receive £12.48 per hour for the initial six months. Throughout this period, Swissport will actively foster the development of your skills and knowledge necessary for the role. Upon achieving these benchmarks and successfully completing the probationary period, you will receive an additional 1.5% increment in compensation.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Ramp Agent Duties:
Aircraft Loading/Unloading: Safely load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
Aircraft Marshalling: Guide arriving and departing aircraft to and from the gate.
Ground Support Equipment Operation: Operate ground service equipment such as tugs, conveyor belts, and tow tractors.
Baggage Handling: Transfer baggage between terminals and aircraft, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Aircraft Services Cleaner Duties:
Cabin Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and sanitise aircraft cabins between flights, including seats, tray tables, overhead bins, and lavatories.Waste Disposal: Dispose of waste materials in accordance with airline regulations.
Restocking Supplies: Ensure that aircraft are adequately stocked with necessary supplies such as blankets, pillows, and amenities.
Quality Control: Inspect aircraft interiors to ensure cleanliness meets industry and company standards.
Adherence to Procedures: Follow cleaning checklists and protocols to maintain consistency and quality.
Qualifications
Previous Experience: Prior experience in ramp operations, aircraft services, or a similar field is preferred.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and withstand outdoor weather conditions.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Team Player: Capable of working effectively in a team environment with a focus on collaboration.
Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
