The Local Truck Driver will be responsible for the delivery and retrieval of 53' dry vans and flat beds, within 100mi of Jacksonville, FL. The Local Driver will complete 6-8 routes each shift, which is a maximum of 12 hours, but usually around 10 hours. This position is Drop and Hook and no touch freight; tractors are 10 speed manual transmissions; trailers are 53’ dry vans and flat beds, which require strapping.
Requirements
- Experience operating 10 speeds (no automatic restrictions)
- Experience pulling and strapping flat beds
- Experience pulling 53' dry vans
- Minimum age of 23
- 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
- Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle
- Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
- Has not ever been disqualified to drive
- Can successfully complete a DOT road test
- PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years. Any score above 10 will require approval from the 48forty Solutions Team
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred
