The Shift Lead will assist the Assistant Plant Manager and Plant Manager in managing, training, and leading production team in plant operations.
This role is ideal for candidates with warehouse experience who are looking to advance their career. Candidates with experience in warehouse, logistics, plant operations, construction, lumber, welding, roofing, landscaping and carpentry are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Responsible for enforcing safety standards, as well as help drive the team to achieve production goals, while maintaining quality standards
- Provide leadership to the production function of the site
- As part of daily production, you will perform pallet sort, light pallet repair, forklift operation and customer service duties
- Ensure employee safety and pallet quality standards are met
- Lead production
- Provide customer support
- Mentor safe working behaviors to the production team
- Requires quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
- Observance of all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Willing to work overtime as needed or swing shifts at times
Requirements:
- Forklift experience is preferred, dispatching experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50lbs
