What you will do....
- As an Exterior Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our vehicles. Together with a team of talented designers, you will create innovative and appealing exterior designs that captivate customers as well as build and reinforce our brand image.
- You will have the opportunity to unleash your creativity and passion for automotive design while honing your leadership skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the automotive industry
- Build key relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative exterior design concepts. You will work closely with other departments such as engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, ensuring that the exterior design aligns with technical feasibility, market positioning, and production requirements.
- Presenting design proposals to internal stakeholders, executives, and external partners, the design manager effectively communicates the rationale behind design decisions and persuasively advocates for their implementation.
- Support senior design leadership in project planning, budgeting, and timeline management to ensure timely delivery of high-quality design solutions.
Who you are....
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Design, plus at least 5 years proven experience as an Exterior designer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your creativity, technical skills, and understanding of automotive design principles.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Modelling software and Visualisation software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and justify design decisions.
- Passion for innovation and a keen interest in the automotive industry and emerging technologies and trends.
- The desire to do something different- we have the opportunity to reframe how Exterior Design is approached and actioned within the Automotive space, you need to be on board with bringing the best parts of tradition to the team build, but leave behind the corporate, hierarchical led environments that stifle creativity.
