What's the opportunity
Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager Interior, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction and the commercial management of some of the plastics components in line with the global Forseven Strategy created by a Senior Buyer already in position.
What you will do:
• Responsible for the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts
• Supporting and managing the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts within the commodity area following alignment with the Senior Buyer
• Partnering with Engineering, Quality and other support functions to develop the supplier strategy and ensure we are using the leveraging with best technology, cost and quality.
• Conducting and evaluating assessments of potential Suppliers and work with the Engineering Partner on the creation of Sourcing recommendations.
• Developing and maintaining supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and risk management
• Ensuring that the Supplier can fulfil Programme targets, including timing, cost, quality, technical attributes.
Who you are:
• Procurement/Purchasing experience within manufacturing/production-based environment (desirable)
• Exposure and experience in negotiation
• Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business
• Understanding in developing structured commodity strategies
• Basic understanding of QAF analysis
• Eager to learn from Experienced Senior Buyers
